Big idea: when we multiply by 10, we count in 10s.
So if we see 10 × 4, we think: “10, 20, 30, 40.” The answer is 40.
Read each row slowly. Point with your finger if that helps. We want your eyes, ears, and brain to work together.
Read each line: 10 times something equals a bigger count in 10s.

After the answer appears, read the whole sentence aloud:
10 times one equals 10.
Start with 10 × 1 and go all the way to 10 × 12.
